Fonda Speedway will wrap up its 2013 on-track racing season this weekend with two days of racing action.
Saturday, the Track of Champions will host a five-class race card sponsored by Morris Ford featuring a 50-lap open modified feature plus a 602 sportsman feaure, a street stock challenge event plus the 4-cylinders.
Also on Saturday’s program is the ESS Sprint Championship.
Sunday, the modifieds will lead the Palmer’s Service-sponsored Ed and Michael Keyser Memorial Night.
The modifieds will run 100 laps, while the pro stocks will run a 30-lap main event plus a a 602-sportsman challenge.
During Sunday’s program, Palmer’s Service will be giving away a boys and a girls bike and bookbags full of prizes.
Racing is scheduled to begin Saturday at 2 p.m. and at 4 p.m. Sunday.
Admission for Saturday’s program will be $25 for general admission, $3 for kids 6 to 11 and free for children 5 years old and younger.

Pit admission for both days with a license will be $30, and $35 on Saturday and $40 Sunday without a pit license.
GRMP changes?
Although there has not been an official announcement made, it has been reported that Mike Sowle had reached an agreement to take over the lease at the Glen Ridge Motorsports Park next season and Pete Demitraszek, the current promoter, will continue to help at the facility during the 2014 racing season.
Tentative plans are calling for a return to Sunday night action under the DIRTcar banner.

Fall Frenzy 150
Ryan Swartz has announced he will be in the field to compete for the winner’s share of more than $2,000 in prize money for the inaugural RJ Kart Sales Fall Frenzy 150 Friday at Oswego Kartway.
Driving the Adrenaline Rush Racing No. 63 entry, Swartz has had a good season. He has a New York Dirt Kart Series Pro Clone series win at Starlite Speedway worth $500, as well as a Pro Flathead sweep at the Keystone State Open at Susquehanna Speedway that was worth $2,000.
The main competition at the event is expected to come from Lance Yeager of Corning who was crowned the Clone champion of the Pennsylvania Elite Dirt Karting Series.
Last year Swartz dominated the Kartway Classic in Stock Light Flathead and was in the lead in Stock Heavy Flathead before losing an engine.
Buanno benefit
There will be a benefit spaghetti dinner on Nov. 17 at Checkers Out Speedway to help the family of Dave Buanno offset some of the medical expenses he has had since being injured while watching the races at Fonda Speedway on Aug. 10.
Tickets for the even, which includes dinner, raffles and more, will be $11. Racing will be available for $10.

Burton wins GRMP title
I inadvertently left one name off the list of champions crowned at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park. Aaron Burton won the Rookie Sportsman track championship.
He joins Bobby Varin (modified), Brian Pessolano (602 sportsman), Rob VanAernam (street stock) and Shane Playford (cruisers) as track champion.
Mike Sowle in Vintage 643 modified
Following in in his son’s footsteps, Mike Sowle jumped into a vintage modified Saturday night at Fonda Speedway.
Sowle was behind the wheel of the 643 modifieds once piloted by Ray Dalmata at the Track of Champions and did a good job keeping it straight and got racy at times.
