FONDA – The Fonda-Fultonville girls basketball team will honor Ron Papierniak at its home game today against Ichabod Crane.

“Ron was instrumental in running the Fonda-Fultonville biddy basketball program years ago when I first started coaching at Fonda,” Fonda-Fultonville coach Wendi Waters said in a news release.

All proceeds from the 50-50 raffle will be donated to the Ronald D. Papierniak Scholarship Foundation, which helps raise money for scholarships for FFCS seniors student-athletes.

His wife, Annmarie, and daughter, Megan, will be in attendance to accept the donation.

The varsity game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

“Ron was instrumental in running the Fonda-Fultonville biddy basketball program years ago when I first started coaching at Fonda,” Fonda-Fultonville coach Wendi Waters said in a news release. “He was beloved in the community and his death has affected many.”

All proceeds from the 50-50 raffle will be donated to the foundation set up in Papierniak’s name.

His wife, Annmarie, and daughter, Megan, will be in attendance to accept the donation.
