Fort Plain to host annual hitting camp

FORT PLAIN – The Fort Plain baseball program will host the annual Hilltoppers Hitting Camp, scheduled for March 2 and 3 at Fort Plain High School.

The morning session will take place from 9 a.m. to noon for ninth- through 12th-graders. The afternoon session will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. for first- through eighth-graders.

Participants must brings their own batting helmets, batting gloves and bats.

The registration fee will be $100. For those that attended this year’s baseball academy in Fort Plain, the fee will be $90.

The camp directors will be Tony Curro Jr., who has more than 20 years of coaching experience at both high schools and colleges, Fort Plain High School varsity baseball coach Craig Phillips, who has more than 600 career wins, and former Fort Plain assistant coach Dale Smith. Fort Plain assistant coaches Adam Cutspec and Jeff Briggs also will be part of the clinic’s staff.
