GLOVERSVILLE – The Gloversville Little League will continue its 2013 sign-ups this weekend at the Fulton County Museum.
Sign-ups will take place Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. There also will be sign-ups March 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. and March 9 from 9 a.m.to noon at the museum.
Play is open to all Gloversville and Mayfield residents ages 4 to 13.
The league will include six divisions of play.
They include: T-ball (boys and girls ages 4 to 7); Intermediate (boys and girls ages 6 to 8); Minors (boys and girls ages 7 to 11); Majors (boys and girls ages 9 to 12); Seniors/50-70 (Boys & Girls age 13), Softball (girls ages 9 to 12). Girls ages 4-8 are encouraged to play in baseball divisions.
A sixth division called the challenger division was created in 2011 for mentally and physically handicapped children ages 5 to 18 (up to age 21 if still in school). This division will be open to all Fulton and Montgomery County residents as well.
Fees for players signing up between this Friday as well as March 9 will be $50 for first child, $30 for second child and $20 for third child (with a cap of $100 per family). A late fee of $10 per player will apply to players signing up after March 9.
All players must bring their birth certificates with them to sign-ups.
