ST. JOHNSVILLE — Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville’s class of 2017 and All-Sports Booster Club are staging an alumni basketball game Wednesday as a benefit fundraiser for Georgia Shaffer, a senior recovering from injuries suffered car accident this fall.
Proceeds from Wednesday’s event, which is open to graduates of St. Johnsville, Oppenheim-Ephratah and Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville schools, will go directly to the Shaffer family to help with medical and travel expenses. In addition to the game, there will be a Chinese auction, bake sale, concession stand and T-shirt sale.
The teams were set up last week and “Georgia Strong” T-shirts are already available to $15 with long sleeves and $12 with short.
Wednesday’s event is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m.
