EPHRATAH — Caroga Creek Speedway resumes racing action with a schedule that includes 14 different divisions of karts and the third race of Winged Champ Racing Series.
In the first two Winged Champ Racing Series events, Bob Rhinehardt prevailed over Tom Varin and Craig Hale at Caroga Creek Speedway with 26 entries.
The second race took place at Dodge City Speedway with Ryan Swartz besting a 22-entry field over Matt Chavis and Jeff Swartz.
Caroga Creek Speedway’s 14 divisions will resume their point chases, with the fourth week of the 2017 season at the 1/5-mile track.
Gates are scheduled to open at 2 p.m., practice will begin at 4 p.m. and end at 5:30 p.m., followed by a driver’s meeting and then each division will run heat races and then their features. The winged champ karts will battle in a 25-lap feature. General admission will be $10, with children 4 and under admitted free.
Caroga Creek Speedway owner/promoter Todd Moran is planning to announce major event soon that will be staged at the speedway Aug. 3.
