Rec hoop league delays season

AMSTERDAM — The City of Amsterdam Recreation Department will be delaying the start of the 2020-21 Amsterdam Recreation Basketball League. This will include Mini-Ballers as well as kindergarten through 8th grade.  If at all possible, we will have a 2020-2021 basketball season even if it means starting in the winter.   For more information, check the City of Amsterdam Tourism, Marketing and Recreation Department Facebook page for updates.

Hales Mills to host impossible pin event

JOHNSTOWN — Hales Mills Country Club will host Spackler’s Impossible Pin Tournament on Oct. 11. The four-person scramble event will begin at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start. The entry fee will be $40 for members and $60 for non-members. Two events are open for area golfers which support mini grants awarded by the Foundation for Mohawk Valley Libraries to the 14 public libraries in 22 locations within the Mohawk Valley Library System in Fulton, Montgomery, Schenectady and Schoharie Counties. Bowling league to host practice day

GLOVERSVILLE — The Tuesday Morning Men’s League will host a practice day and meeting on Tuesday at Starlite Lanes. Officers for the new season will be elected at the meeting.
