Early morning Monday fire engulfs town of Johnstown home near Caroga border

TOWN OF JOHNSTOWN — Fire crews from across the area battled a fierce house fire near the Adirondack Park in the town of Johnstown early Monday morning. No injuries were reported. New report: Crowds stressing Adirondacks High Peaks

ADIRONDACKS — A new report released Monday found Adirondack Park and the High Peaks are showing signs of ecological stress and damage due to the increased number of visitors in recent years. The report was commissioned in early 2021 and was conducted by Otak, a research, planning and design firm.
