As Pope Francis continues a series on zeal for following the example of Jesus in daily life, he took time during his daily audience with the general public at the Vatican Wednesday to turn people's attention to a saint from New York's Mohawk Valley. The Holy Father praised Saint Káteri Tekakwitha, the first Native American from North America canonized by the Catholic Church, who spent much of her life in the Mohawk village of Ossernon — the modern-day hamlet of Auriesville in Fultonville.
