DOWN TO BUSINESS - Now that our hunger for Chick-fil-A has been sated by two new Capital Region locations, consider this: Future stores could be two-story, with double the number of drive-thru lanes located under a second-floor kitchen.The “elevated drive-thru format,” as it’s called, will be tested next year by the popular chicken sandwich seller in its hometown of Atlanta as one answer to today’s “digital-focused world.” The stores will have four drive-thru lanes, up from the more typical two, and will support mobile ordering ahead of arrival by speeding those customers through specific lanes.
