Broadalbin-Perth Elementary kicks off first Summer Storytime with local author

PERTH — Broadalbin-Perth Elementary School held its first Summer Storytime of the season with local author Anita Sanchez on Wednesday. An Amsterdam author and environmental educator, Sanchez has written over 20 books. Her children's and middle-age student books focus on nature and the environment. Wednesday, she read her book “Hello, Puddle!” for a group of about 20 children and their families at Broadalbin-Perth Elementary School. “There’s so much bad environmental news out there,” Sanchez said. “For kids books, I try to focus on solutions, ways kids can help, ways kids can be activists, ways kids can really make a difference.…
