Fulton County union workers say labor crunch could impact seniors, children

JOHNSTOWN — Human services workers are facing the brunt of labor pains in Fulton County, union officials say. Unfilled are eight caseworker positions in CPS, a subdivision of the social services department. At least 25 DSS employees have resigned since the beginning of the year, according to the county's general collective bargaining unit. "With the staff shortage, there are concerns with the safety of the vulnerable, aging people and children in Fulton County," said general unit president Mina Denton.
