COHOES — U.S. Rep. Paul Tonko, D-Amsterdam, held a roundtable discussion in Cohoes recently with experts, doctors and family members of those living with Alzheimer’s disease to discuss best efforts to support families and combat the debilitating condition. Alzheimer’s is a progressive disease beginning with mild memory loss and possibly leading to the loss of the ability to carry on a conversation and respond to the environment, according to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention.
