ALBANY — Local child care staffing shortages have reached what some are calling a crisis level, and the issue is not expected to be solved anytime soon.Emily Lang Anastasio, director of marketing for the Capital District YMCA, says the shortage is being felt year after year.“It’s getting more and more expensive to run child care sites, so there’s less contractors willing to do it,” Anastasio said. “We’re a nonprofit, this is the third year we’ve been in this crisis.”A number of factors contributed to the shortage, Anastasio said.
