Annual Northville Doins Festival set for Friday, Saturday

NORTHVILLE - The Northville Doins Festival returns this Friday and Saturday, continuing a tradition that goes back more than six decades. “It is something people come back to the community for, so it’s kind of like a homecoming,” said Mayor Sue Eckert “For people who haven’t seen each other in a long time it’s kind of a gathering.” The event, which occurs the weekend closest to the Fourth of July each year, kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday at Waterfront Park with a variety of vendors and a DJ and karaoke by Top Shelf Entertainment. “We have about 30 plus…
