MOHAWK — Distant stakeholders could soon seal the future of a hazardous railroad bridge in Montgomery County. City officials in Gloversville and Johnstown are expected to give state Department of Transportation officials the OK to tear down an old trestle bridge hovering above state Highway 334 near Fonda village within the next week. Both cities in 1991 formed a corporate board composed of three respective city lawmakers to co-manage a stretch of the FJ&G railroad, which includes the bridge.
