Pizza Huts close permanently in Amsterdam, Gloversville and Johnstown

MONTGOMERY AND FULTON COUNTIES — The Pizza Hut restaurants in Amsterdam, Gloversville and Johnstown permanently closed their doors this week. All three local restaurants served their final slices on Wednesday, according to community members and local media reports. A handwritten note posted Thursday on the door of the Pizza Hut on Route 30 in Amsterdam put it bluntly: “Closed 4 Good.” Phone calls to each of the shops are connected to an automated message apologizing for the inconvenience of the restaurants being “closed at this time.” The restaurants were removed from the list of available carryout locations on the Pizza Hut website…
