AMSTERDAM - Amsterdam will celebrate Independence Day on Monday. The festival will take place at Riverlink Park and feature food, music, and of course — fireworks. The event officially kicks off at 5:30 p.m. but food will be available starting at 4 p.m. at Drifter’s, the new restaurant that took over the previous Riverlink Cafe spot earlier this month. Food trucks will also be on-site and will open at 5 p.m. At 5:30, the Amsterdam X-Squad Water Ski Team will put on a ski show to open the event.
