SCHENECTADY - Rivers Casino & Resort will be hosting the Schenectady Rotary Club’s second annual Cornhole for a Cause cornhole tournament Sunday.The tournament will run this Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the casino’s Event Center, and will be open to all skill levels from amateurs to professionals. The event is held in partnership with the Adirondack Cornhole League and will raise funds for a new school community resource room at William C. SCHENECTADY — A whopping $2.45 billion was bet electronically in New York on sporting events in the first five weeks of mobile sports wagering, up through Super Bowl Sunday.The first month of legal mobile sports wagering in New York was the highest one-month performance ever, for any state, Gov. SCHENECTADY — Four recently licensed mobile sports wagering operators can begin operations in New York state as early as Saturday morning.The state Gaming Commission announced Thursday that the four had satisfied all requirements to accept bets and have been approved to do so starting at 9 a.m. Jan. 8.Among the four is Rush Street Interactive, which oversees the in-person sports betting operations at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady.
