ALBANY — A state appellate court on Thursday ruled that New York’s redistricting commission should redraw congressional lines ahead of the 2024 election, a victory for the state Democratic Party. The Appellate Division ruled 3-2 in favor of redrawing the lines, but the case is expected to be appealed to the state Court of Appeals, the state’s top court. GLOVERSVILLE - U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer joined hospital officials Monday at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville to urge federal officials to immediately take action to address the cancer and generic drug shortage currently being experienced nationwide. Schumer, a Democrat, is calling on the federal Food and Drug Administration to take immediate action to mitigate the problem and is urging Congress to bring to a vote his legislative package that aims to repair the nation’s drug supply chain.
