JOHNSTOWN — Assemblyman Marc Butler (RIC- Newport) is partnering with the Pine Tree Rifle Club, 419 Johnson Ave., to host a picnic for veterans on Sept. 30, from noon to 4 p.m.
The event will include a talk by Robert J. Smullen, colonel U.S. Marine Corps retired, music, fun, games and food.
“It is my pleasure to recognize and honor all Veterans, past and present,” Butler said.
“It is through their service and sacrifice that we have the many freedoms we enjoy.”
This event is offered to each veteran and one guest at no cost. Reservations are required. To reserve a place, call Butler’s office at (518) 762-1427.
The event will be made possible through donations from individuals and local businesses.
