John Stamos is a new dad to baby boy

NEW YORK (AP) — Actor John Stamos is a father.

The 54-year-old announced on Instagram the birth of his son, Billy Stamos. Stamos says the child is named after the actor’s father.

Stamos says, “From now on, the best part of me will always be my wife and son.”

Stamos and 31-year-old Caitlin McHugh married in February.

His publicist says “Billy and Mom are both home and healthy.”

Eurovision star says she’s HIV-positive

BERLIN (AP) — Bearded diva Conchita Wurst says she’s HIV-positive and has been living with the virus for many years.

The Austrian drag queen, who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014, said on Instagram late Sunday she had been blackmailed by a former friend who wanted to publish the information and decided to come out herself with it before he did.

Conchita wrote that she has been receiving medical treatment for many years and that she is feeling healthy and strong.

Conchita, the alter ego of Thomas Neuwirth, wrote that “coming out is better than being outed by a third party.”

She said: “I hope to encourage (others) and make a step against the stigmatization of people who through their own behavior or through no fault of their own were infected with HIV.”

Springsteen dances with mom on birthday

ASBURY PARK, N.J. (AP) — Bruce Springsteen treated his 92-year-old mother to an early birthday celebration before Mother Nature spoiled the party.

The 68-year-old Boss and his mom, Adele, danced to two songs Sunday night at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, New Jersey before severe storms caused the club to lose power. They were there to see the Eddie Testa Band, reportedly one of Adele’s favorite bands.

Adele Springsteen turns 93 on May 4.
